All Studio Directors and teachers are invited back to the theatre for the final overall awards presentation.
NOTE: Programs will be available for purchase on-site for attendees. Attendees may only attend the venue outside of their scheduled studio block should they wish to purchase a program from our merchandise table in the main lobby.

VACCINE PASSPORT POLICY: The Orillia Opera House will be following all of the most up-to-date guidelines regarding showing proof of vaccination. Vaccine passports are no longer needed to enter the Orillia Opera House, as proof of vaccination requirements have been lifted at the venue. Studio Directors will be notified should the government and/or venue policy change prior to the event start date.
MASKING: The Orillia Opera House will be following all of the most up-to-date guidelines regarding masking. Masking is now optional for all attendees, and is no longer a requirement while inside the venue.
SAFETY PROTOCOLS: All Purpose Dance Competition and venue specific protocols and procedures have been sent directly to Studio Directors.
THEATRE ARRIVAL: Dancers, teachers, staff, etc. are being asked to enter the theatre through the “Artist Entrance” and not the main doors. The performer’s entrance is located near the loading dock area. Parents and audience members must enter through the main doors.
AWARD CEREMONIES EXCLUSIVE TO PURPOSE ORILLIA: Final awards on Saturday evening is limited to the attendance of teachers and Studio Directors. We invite all of the dancers and parents to watch the final awards on our live stream.
SPECTATORS: Purpose Dance Competition asks that each performer limit the number of spectators that they invite to the live show. We suggest keeping audience members to household members (parents/siblings) if possible. The entire event will be live streamed for grandparents, extended family, friends, neighbours, etc. to enjoy the show from the comfort of their home via the Purpose website. NOTE: Our Final Awards presentation will also be live streamed.
