NOTABLE AWARDS:

• Up to Top 15 overall solo dancers will be awarded in each of four competitive age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)! Note: A dancer can only place once in a solo overall division.
• TOP Score of the Session Award in the Competitive & Novice/Part-Time divisions!
• Up to Top 5 overall groups in each size category and age division will be awarded.
• All Group overall standings are determined by high score and are awarded by studio.
• Adjudicator’s Choice Group Discipline Awards in the 12 & Under and 13 & Over age divisions!
• Up to 4 Runner-Up Ultimate Purpose Award winners in every division!

CASH AWARDS:

• In addition to trophies, cash prizes will be be awarded to the top routines at each event. Note: All cash prizes are awarded to the studio and not to the individual dancer(s).

SESSION AWARDS:

• All performances will be acknowledged with a medal standing: 84 – 86.99 – PLATINUM, 87 – 89.99 – PLATINUM PLUS, 90 – 92.99 – DIAMOND, 93 & Over – PURPOSE.
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd Placement Awards for every category. All routines that do not fall in the top three placements will receive a “Distinction Award”.
• TOP Score of the Session Award.
• Novice/Part-Time TOP Score of the Session Award.

ADJUDICATOR’S CHOICE SESSION AWARDS:

• Special Awards for dancers at every awards ceremony.
• “Choreography” & “Performance” Teacher Awards at every adjudication.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION ADJUDICATOR’S CHOICE TEACHER AWARDS:

Each of these awards will be presented to the teacher winners over the course of the weekend.

• Competitive 12 & Under Choreography Award
• Competitive 13 & Over Choreography Award
• Technical Purpose Award
• CREATE Award: Given to a routine with outstanding creativity.
• SHARE Award: Given to a routine that shared an important message.
• EMPOWER Award: Given to a routine that was inspiring and motivating.

ULTIMATE PURPOSE AWARDS:

Will be awarded to the highest scoring group in each competitive division (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior). The Ultimate Purpose Part-Time awards will be awarded to the highest scoring group in two combined divisions (Mini/Junior and Inter/Senior).

RUNNER UP ULTIMATE PURPOSE AWARDS:

In each division, up to 4 Runner Up Ultimate Purpose award winners will be presented. Note: The Runner up winners can not be represented by the same studio as the Ultimate Purpose winner from that same division.

PRODUCTION AWARD:

• The Highest Scoring Production routine of the weekend will be awarded with a trophy and a cash prize.

ADJUDICATOR’S CHOICE GROUP DISCIPLINE AWARDS:

Discipline awards will be presented to group routines for excellence in a specific dance genre. The Discipline Awards will be awarded in the 12 & Under and 13 & Over age divisions. See dance genres below.

BALLET, JAZZ, TAP, HIP HOP, ACRO, MUSICAL THEATRE/SONG AND DANCE, CONTEMPORARY/MODERN,  LYRICAL, and OPEN/SPECIALITY.

SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:

Purpose is proud to offer our participants the opportunity to expand their dance education through various convention and workshop experiences.

This season Purpose will be awarding scholarships to: Metro Movement, The Underground Dance Centre, Fresh Dance Intensive, The Ballet Lab, No Limits Dance Experience and Northern Movement.
